Human IL-5 ELISA Kit (HUEB0028)

Assay Genie's colorimetric sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the quantitative measurement of human Interleukin-5 (IL-5) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The kit detects natural and recombinant human IL-5 with a detection range of 15.6-1000 pg/mL and a sensitivity of 3.9 pg/mL. Reported intra-assay CV is 5.6% and inter-assay CV is 10.3%.

IL-5 is a secreted homodimer (disulfide-linked) that, according to its UniProt annotation, induces terminal differentiation of late-developing B-cells to immunoglobulin secreting cells and plays a central role in eosinophil biology. With UniProt accession P05113 and NCBI Gene ID 3567, the target is a cytokine of major interest in immunology research, particularly relevant to inflammatory and allergic disease pathways. Recovery in serum averaged 104% (range 98-110%) and in plasma averaged 106% (range 100-112%).

Kit components include a dismountable ELISA microplate, lyophilized standard, sample and assay diluents, detection reagents A and B, wash buffer, substrate, stop solution and plate sealers, with storage temperatures ranging from -20°C to 4°C depending on component.
