Human IL-4R ELISA Kit

This sandwich-format immunoassay from Assay Genie is intended for the quantitative detection of human Interleukin-4 receptor subunit alpha (IL-4R), also referred to as CD124. The colorimetric ELISA is reactive with human samples and has been validated for use with serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. It specifically detects natural and recombinant human IL-4R and is intended for research use within the field of immunology.

Reported performance characteristics include a detection range of 15.6-1000pg/mL and a sensitivity of 7.5pg/mL. Precision values are 4.8% for intra-assay CV and 6.9% for inter-assay CV. Average recovery is 84% in serum (range 80-90%) and 86% in plasma (range 80-92%). Linearity across serial dilutions from 1:2 to 1:16 spans 83-124% across serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma samples.

IL-4R functions as a receptor for both interleukin 4 and interleukin 13, coupling to the JAK1/2/3-STAT6 pathway and supporting Th2 differentiation, IgE regulation, and chemokine and mucus production at sites of allergic inflammation. Soluble IL4R has been reported to inhibit IL4-mediated cell proliferation and IL5 up-regulation by T-cells. The associated UniProt accession is P24394.
