Human IL-37 ELISA Kit

Assay Genie's Sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the quantitative detection of human Interleukin-37 (IL-37), using a double-antibody, colorimetric ELISA format. The kit is intended for use with human samples and accepts serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples.

Performance characteristics quoted by the manufacturer include a sensitivity of 18.75 pg/mL and an assay range of 31.25–2000 pg/mL. Reported linearity values cover serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma at dilutions of 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8, and recovery ranges are provided for the same sample types. Reagents are stored at 2–8°C for 12 months according to the manufacturer. A separate Assay Genie kit for IL-37 lists a detection range of 31.2–2000 pg/mL, a sensitivity of 12 pg/mL, an intra-assay CV of 4.9% and an inter-assay CV of 8.5%, and recognises natural and recombinant human Interleukin-37 (UniProt Q9NZH6).

Interleukin-37 is described by the manufacturer as a member of the IL-1 cytokine family and a suppressor of innate inflammatory and immune responses, acting through SMAD3. It is reported to reduce pro-inflammatory cytokine production and to inhibit dendritic cell activation, with roles in inflammatory disorders, autoimmune disease and metabolic syndromes.
