Human IL-36B ELISA Kit

Manufactured by Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the quantitative detection of human Interleukin-36 beta (IL-36B) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay reacts with natural and recombinant human Interleukin-36 beta, uses a colorimetric detection method, and is intended for research use only.

Performance characteristics include a detection range of 31.2-2000 pg/mL and a sensitivity of 10 pg/mL, with intra-assay CV of 4.3% and inter-assay CV of 8.2%. Linearity has been validated across serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions, and recovery is reported as 104% (range 98-110%) for serum and 106% (range 100-112%) for plasma. The target protein, Interleukin-36 beta (UniProt Q9NZH7), is a secreted cytokine with a molecular weight of 17,702 Da.

IL-36B signals through the IL1RL2/IL-36R receptor, activating NF-kappa-B and MAPK pathways, and has been linked to inflammatory conditions such as psoriasis, inflammatory bowel disease and rheumatoid arthritis. The protein is also known by synonyms including FIL1 eta, Interleukin-1 eta, IL-1 eta, IL-1F8, IL-1H2, Interleukin-1 family member 8 and Interleukin-1 homolog 2.
