Human IL-36A ELISA Kit

This Sandwich ELISA Kit from Assay Genie is designed for the quantitative detection of human Interleukin-36 alpha (IL-36A) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids, using a colorimetric detection method. The assay has a detection range of 0.156-10 ng/mL with a sensitivity of 0.078 ng/mL. Precision is reported as an intra-assay CV of 5.3% and inter-assay CV of 7.8%. Specificity is stated for natural and recombinant human Interleukin-36 alpha, and recovery in serum averages 98% (range 92-104%) and in plasma averages 100% (range 94-106%).

IL-36A is a pro-inflammatory cytokine that binds to and signals through the IL1RL2/IL-36R receptor, activating NF-kappa-B and MAPK signaling pathways in target cells. It belongs to the IL-36 signaling system associated with local inflammatory responses at epithelial barriers and is involved in skin inflammatory responses, acting on keratinocytes, dendritic cells and indirectly on T-cells. The protein is secreted, has a molecular weight of 17,684 Da, and is encoded at chromosomal location 2q12-q14.1 (UniProt Q9UHA7).

The kit is supplied with an ELISA microplate, lyophilized standard, sample and assay diluents, detection reagents, wash buffer, substrate, stop solution and plate sealers, and is intended for research use only within the immunology research area.
