Manufactured by Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the precise quantitative measurement of Interleukin-29 (IL-29), also known as Interferon lambda-1, in human biological samples. Compatible sample types include serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. IL-29 is a type III interferon that contributes to the immune response to viral infections, regulating antiviral defence mechanisms, inflammation, and immune cell activation, and is regarded as a potential therapeutic target in viral diseases, autoimmune disorders, and inflammatory conditions.

The colourimetric assay uses a pre-coated plate with a biotin-labelled detection antibody and an HRP-Streptavidin conjugate, with TMB substrate for signal development and absorbance measured at 450 nm. Sensitivity is reported at 9.375 pg/mL, with a standard range of 15.625–1000 pg/mL. Linearity values for serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma fall within 81–104% across 1:2, 1:4, and 1:8 dilutions, and average recoveries are 93% (serum), 90% (EDTA plasma), and 94% (heparin plasma).
