Human IL-28A ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this Human Interleukin-28A (IL-28A) ELISA Kit is a sandwich-format, colorimetric immunoassay for the quantitative detection of human IL-28A, also known as interferon lambda-2 (IFN-lambda-2) or cytokine Zcyto20. The assay is specific for natural and recombinant human Interleukin-28A, is reactive with human samples, and is validated for use with serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernatants and other biological fluids.

IL-28A is a type III interferon cytokine encoded by the IFNL2 gene. It exhibits immunomodulatory activity, up-regulates MHC class I antigen expression, and displays both antiviral and antitumor activity. It acts as a ligand for the heterodimeric class II cytokine receptor composed of IL10RB and IL28RA, signals through the Jak-STAT pathway, and contributes to innate immune and defence responses to viruses.

Reported performance characteristics include a detection range of 15.6-1000 pg/mL and a sensitivity of 12 pg/mL, with an intra-assay CV of 4.9% and an inter-assay CV of 8.8%. Dilution linearity has been demonstrated for serum (93-105% to 90-100% across 1:2 to 1:16 dilutions), EDTA plasma (108-108% to 89-101%) and heparin plasma (97-110% to 104-112%). Recovery averages 97% (range 91-103%) in serum and 99% (range 93-105%) in plasma. No cross-reactivity has been observed with a tested panel of human cytokines. The kit is for research use only.
