Human IL-25 ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA Kit is designed for the quantitative measurement of human Interleukin-25 (IL-25) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids, using colorimetric detection.

The assay has a detection range of 7.8-500 pg/mL and a sensitivity of 3.10 pg/mL. Reported precision values are an intra-assay CV of 5.6% and an inter-assay CV of 8.3%. Linearity has been validated across serial dilutions in serum (N=5): 105-115% at 1:2, 95-105% at 1:4, 87-99% at 1:8, and 117-126% at 1:16; in EDTA plasma (N=5): 113-123% at 1:2, 95-105% at 1:4, 99-111% at 1:8, and 101-113% at 1:16; and in heparin plasma (N=5): 104-113% at 1:2, 108-117% at 1:4, 105-114% at 1:8, and 91-100% at 1:16. Spike-recovery averages are 104% (range 98-110%) for serum and 106% (range 100-112%) for plasma. The kit specifically detects natural and recombinant human Interleukin-25 and is for research use within the immunology field.

IL-25 (UniProt Q9H293), also called Interleukin-17E (IL-17E), is a secreted cytokine of the IL-17 family with a reported molecular weight of 18,523 Da, encoded at chromosomal location 14q11.2. It induces activation of NF-kappa-B and stimulates production of the proinflammatory chemokine IL-8, acting as a proinflammatory cytokine that favours Th2-type immune responses. Reported biological processes include response to fungus, inflammatory response to antigenic stimulus, response to nematode, eosinophil differentiation, and positive regulation of transcription from RNA polymerase II promoter.
