Human IL-1RA/IL-1 receptor alpha ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the quantitative measurement of IL1RA (interleukin-1 receptor antagonist) in human samples. IL1RA is a key protein that regulates the inflammatory response by blocking the activity of interleukin-1 (IL-1), helping to maintain immune balance. Dysregulation of IL1RA has been linked to various inflammatory diseases, autoimmune disorders, and other health conditions, making it an important biomarker for research.

The kit uses a colorimetric, double antibody sandwich ELISA format. It is validated for use with serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. The assay has a sensitivity of 18.75 pg/mL and a measuring range of 31.25–2000 pg/mL (1 pg = 1 mIU). Unopened kits should be stored at 2–8°C for up to 12 months.

The workflow includes reagent equilibration, primary incubation at 37°C for 90 minutes, biotin-labeled detection antibody binding, HRP-streptavidin incubation, TMB substrate color development in the dark, and absorbance measurement at 450 nm.
