Interleukin-1 family member 7 (IL-1F7), also known as IL-37, is the seventh member of the broader IL-1 cytokine family and acts as a broad anti-inflammatory signal that suppresses innate immune activation and dampens pro-inflammatory cytokine release. The Assay Genie Human IL-1F7 PharmaGenie ELISA Kit provides a quantitative research-use-only immunoassay in a microplate format for measuring IL-37 protein in human cell culture supernatants, plasma, and serum samples with a colorimetric readout.

Reagents ship cold and should be refrigerated upon arrival to preserve antibody binding activity; aliquoting the working standards is recommended to limit repeated freeze-thaw cycles. The kit includes pre-coated microplate wells, biotinylated detection antibody, streptavidin-HRP conjugate, calibrated recombinant IL-37 standards, wash buffer, and substrate solution for an absorbance-based end-point. Researchers studying chronic inflammation, autoimmune disease, sepsis, and immune regulation rely on IL-37 quantification to monitor anti-inflammatory cytokine activity in patient cohorts and in vitro cell culture models, and the assay integrates into standard ELISA workflows already in use for related IL-1 family cytokines.

Because IL-37 is a primate-restricted cytokine with no direct rodent ortholog, this assay is specific to human IL-1F7 and shows no meaningful cross-reactivity against mouse or rat matrices. The standard curve is generated from the recombinant IL-37 calibrators supplied in the kit, and absorbance values are read on a standard microplate reader.
