Beyond standard cytokine profiling, the Assay Genie human IL-17A/F heterodimer ELISA enables researchers to distinguish the IL-17A/F heterodimer from IL-17A and IL-17F homodimers, which signal through the same IL-17RA/RC receptor complex but trigger distinct downstream inflammatory cascades. This specificity is valuable in studies of Th17-mediated autoimmunity, psoriasis, rheumatoid arthritis, and mucosal host defense, where the heterodimer's relative abundance provides a more nuanced readout of Th17 effector activity than total IL-17 measurements alone. The microplate format ships with pre-coated capture antibody, biotinylated detection reagent, recombinant heterodimer standards, and streptavidin-HRP conjugate sufficient for 96 individual determinations. Add 100 uL of diluted human sample per well, incubate, wash, and read the colorimetric endpoint on a standard microplate reader.
