Human IL-15RA ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA Kit enables quantitative detection of human Interleukin-15 receptor subunit alpha (IL-15RA), also referred to by the synonym CD215. The assay is reactive with human samples and uses a colorimetric detection method, with documented specificity for both natural and recombinant human IL-15RA. Validated sample matrices include serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernatants and other biological fluids.

Reported performance characteristics include a detection range of 62.5–4000 pg/mL and a sensitivity of 15.6 pg/mL. Intra-assay CV is 5.9% and inter-assay CV is 9.9%. Linearity has been demonstrated in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma across dilution factors of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16. Recovery in serum averages 98% (range 92–104%) and in plasma averages 100% (range 94–106%). The indicated research area for this target is cancer.

IL-15RA is the high-affinity receptor for interleukin-15 and signals through STAT3, STAT5, STAT6, JAK2 and SYK. The receptor is reported to enhance cell proliferation and expression of the apoptosis inhibitors BCL2L1/BCL2-XL and BCL2, and eight human isoforms are produced by alternative splicing; isoforms 5, 6, 7 and 8 are reported not to bind IL15.
