Human IL-11 ELISA Kit

A colorimetric Sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie designed for the quantitative detection of human Interleukin 11 (IL-11). The double-antibody assay is compatible with serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples, and the reagents are stored at 2–8 °C, reported stable for up to 12 months under those conditions.

Reported performance characteristics include a sensitivity of 18.75 pg/mL and a measurable range of 31.25–2000 pg/mL (1 ng = 10,500 mIU). Linearity across 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 dilutions has been demonstrated in serum (86–104%), EDTA plasma (82–98%) and heparin plasma (80–98%). Spike-and-recovery values for the same matrices fall within 85–103%, with mean recoveries between 93% and 96%. The associated protein entry is UniProt P20809. IL-11 is described as a cytokine involved in immune regulation, hematopoiesis and inflammation, with dysregulation implicated in inflammatory disorders, osteoporosis and certain cancers.

The supplied protocol proceeds through six stages: reagent and plate equilibration, primary incubation at 37 °C for 90 minutes, biotinylated detection antibody binding for 60 minutes, HRP-Streptavidin (SABC) incubation for 30 minutes, TMB colour development in the dark for 10–20 minutes, and a stop reaction with absorbance read at 450 nm.
