Human IL-1 beta ELISpot Kit

Enabling detection and enumeration of IL-1 beta-secreting cells at single-cell resolution, this ELISpot kit from Assay Genie provides a quantitative tool for studying cytokine release in human immune cell populations. IL-1 beta is a major pro-inflammatory cytokine that drives fever, leukocyte recruitment, and activation of lymphocytes and endothelial cells, making it a central target in immunology, infection, and inflammatory disease research.

Unlike solution-phase immunoassays, ELISpot captures cytokine molecules immediately after secretion, localizing them as discrete immunospots around each producing cell. Each spot corresponds to a single IL-1 beta-secreting cell, allowing precise quantification of responding cell frequencies in stimulated peripheral blood mononuclear cell (PBMC) populations, tissue-derived lymphocytes, or whole-cell systems. The human-specific capture and detection antibodies minimize cross-reactivity with related molecules such as IL-1 alpha and IL-1Ra.
