Human IGF 1 ELISA Kit

Assay Genie's Human IGF-1 ELISA Kit is a sandwich ELISA, double antibody-based immunoassay designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Insulin-like Growth Factor 1 in serum, plasma and other biological fluids. It is intended For Research Use Only.

The kit targets IGF-1, also referenced by the aliases IGF-1, IGF1, IGFI, IGF-I, IGF1A, IGF-IA, IGF-IB, MGF and Somatomedin C (UniProt: P05019). It has a measuring range of 62.5–4000 pg/mL with a sensitivity of 37.5 pg/mL. Reported performance characteristics include intra-assay CV <8%, inter-assay CV <10%, and average recovery rates of 98% in serum, 95% in EDTA plasma and 92% in UFH plasma (ranges 85–104%, 90–103% and 85–99% respectively). Linearity testing with serial dilutions returned 81–105% recovery across serum and plasma matrices.

According to the manufacturer's instructions, the kit is shipped on ice packs and should be stored at 2–8°C for up to 6 months. Sample preparation guidance covers serum (clotting and centrifugation steps), plasma (EDTA or heparin as anticoagulant), urine, cerebrospinal fluid, cell culture supernatant, cell lysates and tissue homogenates. The assay workflow involves incubation with a biotin-labelled antibody, followed by HRP-streptavidin conjugate, TMB substrate development, stop solution addition and absorbance measurement at 450 nm.
