Human IgE ELISA Kit

A high-quality Sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie designed for the precise measurement of IgE in human samples. The kit uses a colorimetric detection method and is reactive with human samples including serum, plasma, cell culture supernatants, cell or tissue lysates, and other liquid samples. With a sensitivity of 0.375 ng/mL and an assay range of 0.625–40 ng/mL, the kit provides accurate and reproducible results suitable for a wide variety of research applications.

IgE is an antibody that plays a central role in allergic reactions and in immune responses to parasites, and elevated IgE levels have been linked to allergic diseases such as asthma, eczema, and allergic rhinitis. The assay shows strong linearity across serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma at 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 dilutions, and recovery averages of 94% in serum, 94% in EDTA plasma and 93% in heparin plasma. Unopened components should be stored at 2–8°C for up to 12 months.

The workflow involves equilibrating reagents and TMB substrate to room temperature, loading standards, samples and controls on the pre-coated plate, incubating at 37°C for 90 minutes to allow antigen binding, adding a biotin-labeled detection antibody for 60 minutes, applying HRP-Streptavidin (SABC) for 30 minutes, developing colour with TMB substrate in the dark for 10–20 minutes, and reading absorbance at 450 nm immediately after adding stop solution.
