Human IFN gamma ELISA Kit

Assay Genie provides a high-quality Sandwich ELISA Kit for the in vitro quantitative determination of human interferon gamma (IFN-gamma, also known as IFNG, IFG, IFI, or Type II Interferon) concentrations in serum, plasma, and other biological fluids. The kit uses a colorimetric, double-antibody sandwich detection format and is supplied for research use only.

Performance characteristics include a sensitivity of 9.375 pg/mL and a working range of 15.625–1000 pg/mL (where 1 pg equals 20 mIU). Recovery rates are 87–105% in serum (average 96%), 85–101% in EDTA plasma (average 93%), and 91–100% in UFH plasma (average 97%). Linearity is maintained across serial dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, and 1:8, while intra-assay CV is below 8% and inter-assay CV is below 10%.

Compatible sample types include serum, plasma, cell culture supernatants, cell lysates, tissue homogenates and lysates, urine, cerebrospinal fluid, and breast milk. Supplied components include a dismountable ELISA microplate, lyophilized standard, sample and standard dilution buffer, biotin-labeled antibody with its dilution buffer, HRP-streptavidin conjugate (SABC) with SABC dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution, concentrated wash buffer, and plate sealers. All reagents should be stored at 4 °C, with the standard also stable at –20 °C; the complete kit remains stable for 6 months under recommended conditions. IFN-gamma (UniProt P01579) is a soluble cytokine of the type II interferon family, produced primarily by activated T lymphocytes, and has antiviral, immunoregulatory, and macrophage-activating functions.
