Human IFN alpha/Interferon Alpha ELISA Kit

A colorimetric Sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie designed for the quantitative detection of human interferon alpha (IFN-alpha) in research samples. Interferon alpha is a cytokine involved in the immune response to viral infections, autoimmune diseases, and cancer, making its measurement relevant across infectious disease, autoimmune, and inflammatory research.

The kit uses a double antibody sandwich format and accepts serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. Reported sensitivity is 9.375 pg/mL with a standard range of 15.625–1000 pg/mL. Linearity has been evaluated in serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma across 1:2, 1:4, and 1:8 dilutions, and recovery data is provided for the same sample types. Components should be stored at 2–8°C for 12 months.

The workflow involves reagent equilibration, primary incubation at 37°C for 90 minutes, biotin-labelled detection antibody incubation at 37°C for 60 minutes, HRP-Streptavidin binding at 37°C for 30 minutes, TMB colour development in the dark for 10–20 minutes, and absorbance measurement at 450 nm after the addition of stop solution.
