Quantitative measurement of human IFITM1 protein is supported by this Assay Genie ELISA kit, packaged in a 96 Assays format and intended for research use in immunology, virology, and cell signaling studies. IFITM1, also known as 9-27 or Leu-13, is a small interferon-induced transmembrane protein that localizes to endosomal and lysosomal membranes, where it restricts entry and replication of diverse pathogens including influenza A, dengue, West Nile virus, and SARS-CoV-2.

Beyond its antiviral role, IFITM1 modulates B-cell receptor signaling, contributes to germ cell maturation, and has been flagged as a dysregulated marker in several solid tumors and chronic inflammatory conditions. The kit is supplied with a pre-coated microplate, biotinylated detection antibody, recombinant protein standards, and substrate reagents sufficient to generate a standard curve in each assay run. Researchers who study interferon-stimulated gene signatures, viral restriction factors, tumor biomarker discovery, or immune cell phenotyping can use the kit to compare endogenous IFITM1 levels across treated and untreated cell culture models, primary leukocytes, or matched donor samples. All components should be stored under refrigerated conditions to preserve antibody activity across repeated freeze-thaw handling.
