Human IDS/ Iduronate 2-Sulfatase ELISA Kit

A Sandwich ELISA designed by Assay Genie for the quantitative measurement of human Iduronate 2-Sulfatase (IDS), a lysosomal enzyme whose deficiency underlies mucopolysaccharidosis type II (Hunter syndrome). The assay supports research into the pathophysiology of MPS II and related metabolic disorders.

Performance characteristics reported in the product datasheets include a detection range of 0.156–10 ng/mL with a sensitivity of 0.057 ng/mL for one kit format, and a detection range of 0.313–20 ng/mL with a sensitivity of 0.188 ng/mL for the double-antibody sandwich format. Acceptable sample types include serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and tissue homogenates.

Spike-and-recovery experiments in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma yielded average recoveries between 84% and 95% depending on format, with serial-dilution linearity broadly within the 79–105% band across the same matrices. Intra-assay CV is reported below 10% and inter-assay CV below 12%. Colour development is read at 450 nm after TMB substrate addition.
