Human IDE/Insulin-degrading enzyme ELISA Kit

Manufactured by Assay Genie, this sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the quantitative detection of human Insulin-degrading enzyme (IDE) in serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. The assay uses a double-antibody sandwich format with colorimetric detection, a measuring range of 62.5–4000 pg/mL, and a sensitivity of 37.5 pg/mL.

Unopened kits are stored at 2–8°C for 12 months. In validation testing, linearity ranged from 80% to 105% across serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma at 1:2 to 1:8 dilutions, and average recovery was 93% for serum (range 85–102%), 94% for EDTA plasma (range 85–101%), and 96% for heparin plasma (range 92–102%).

IDE (Uniprot P14735) is a zinc metallopeptidase that degrades intracellular insulin and other peptides, and its dysregulation has been associated with insulin resistance, diabetes, and other metabolic disorders. The product is intended for research use only.
