Human ICTP ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA, double antibody assay from Assay Genie designed for the quantitative measurement of ICTP (C-Telopeptide of Type I Collagen) in human serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. ICTP is recognised as a marker of bone metabolism, with relevance to research into bone resorption and turnover in conditions such as osteoporosis and bone metastases.

Reported performance characteristics include a sensitivity of 46.875 pg/mL and a working range of 78.125–5000 pg/mL. Linearity across 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 dilutions is reported as 85–104%, 90–95% and 87–105% for serum (n = 5), 88–99%, 84–100% and 83–100% for EDTA plasma (n = 5), and 85–100%, 85–100% and 88–97% for heparin plasma (n = 5). Recovery ranges and averages are 95–103% (99%) for serum, 86–105% (95%) for EDTA plasma, and 85–105% (96%) for heparin plasma. The assay uses a biotin-labelled detection antibody and HRP-Streptavidin conjugate with TMB substrate, and absorbance is read at 450 nm.

Unopened kit components are stored at 2-8°C for 12 months, with selected components also suitable for storage at -20°C as indicated. Sample preparation guidance covers serum (centrifuge at 1000 × g for 20 minutes), plasma (centrifuge at 1000 × g for 15 minutes at 2-8°C), tissue homogenate, cell culture supernatant (centrifuge at 2500 rpm for 5 minutes), and cell lysate procedures.
