Human Hypoxia-inducible gene 2 protein (HIG2) ELISA Kit

Assay Genie offers a sandwich ELISA kit designed for the quantitative measurement of human Hypoxia-inducible gene 2 protein (HIG2), also known by the synonym C7orf68. HIG2 plays a critical role in hypoxia response pathways, regulating cellular responses to low oxygen levels, and its dysregulation has been linked to cancer and metabolic disorders. The target is a single-pass membrane protein (UniProt Q9Y5L2; NCBI official symbol HILPDA; molecular weight 6,950 Da) that increases intracellular lipid accumulation, stimulates expression of cytokines including IL6, MIF and VEGFA, and enhances cell growth and proliferation.

The assay uses a sandwich format with colorimetric detection. The reported detection range is 0.625-40ng/ml with a sensitivity of 0.23ng/mL. Intra-assay CV is 5.8% and inter-assay CV is 10.6%. Suitable sample types include serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernatants and other biological fluids, with specificity for natural and recombinant human Hypoxia-inducible gene 2 protein. The kit is intended for research use only.

Linearity across dilutions from 1:2 to 1:16 falls within 94-112% for serum, 81-115% for EDTA plasma, and 83-120% for heparin plasma (N=5). Recovery averages 110% in serum (range 104-116%) and 112% in plasma (range 106-118%).
