Human Hypoxia-inducible factor 1-alpha (HIF1A) ELISA Kit

Developed by Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA Kit is designed for the quantitative detection of human Hypoxia-inducible factor 1-alpha (HIF1A) in research settings. HIF1A is a master transcriptional regulator of the cellular adaptive response to hypoxia, activating the transcription of over 40 genes involved in oxygen delivery and metabolic adaptation, including erythropoietin, glucose transporters, glycolytic enzymes, and vascular endothelial growth factor. The protein plays an essential role in embryonic vascularization, tumor angiogenesis, and the pathophysiology of ischemic disease, and is studied as a cancer-related biomarker. The kit is for research use only.

Key performance characteristics include a detection range of 0.156-10 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.041 ng/mL. Reported precision values are an Intra CV of 4.7% and an Inter CV of 6.9%. Recovery in serum averaged 99% (range 93-105%) and in plasma averaged 101% (range 95-107%). The assay is reactive with human samples, uses a colorimetric read-out, and is validated for serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates, and other biological fluids, with specificity for natural and recombinant human HIF1A.
