Human Hydroxyacyl Coenzyme A Dehydrogenase Beta (HADHb) ELISA Kit

The HADHb protein is the beta subunit of the mitochondrial trifunctional protein complex, which catalyzes the third step in the beta-oxidation cycle of long-chain fatty acids. This colorimetric assay from Assay Genie is configured for quantitative measurement of human HADHb in tissue homogenates and supports research into inherited fatty acid oxidation disorders, including mitochondrial trifunctional protein deficiency and LCHAD deficiency. Studies on HADHb expression levels also inform investigations of acute fatty liver of pregnancy and HELLP syndrome pathophysiology, where impaired fatty acid oxidation is implicated. Each kit provides reagents sufficient for 96 individual reactions and is intended for research use only in laboratory settings.
