Human Hyaluronidase-1 (HYAL1) ELISA Kit

The Assay Genie Sandwich ELISA kit provides quantitative measurement of Human Hyaluronidase-1 (HYAL1) in human samples. Designed for research use only, the kit is reactive with human samples and is validated for use with serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. Detection is performed by colorimetric ELISA.

Performance characteristics include a detection range of 0.156-10 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.078 ng/mL. Intra-assay precision is reported at a CV of 4.3%, with inter-assay CV at 7.5%. Recovery testing shows averages of 96% for serum (range 90-102%) and 98% for plasma (range 92-104%). Linearity has been evaluated across serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma at dilutions from 1:2 to 1:16. The kit shows specificity for natural and recombinant human Hyaluronidase-1 and is associated with UniProt entry Q12794.

HYAL1 is a lysosomal enzyme that breaks down hyaluronic acid, a key component of the extracellular matrix. Dysregulation of HYAL1 has been linked to cancer, arthritis and tissue injury, making the quantitative measurement of this enzyme relevant to studies of disease progression and potential therapeutic intervention.
