Human HSP60 ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie intended for the in vitro quantitative determination of Human HSPD1/HSP-60 concentrations in serum, plasma and other biological fluids. The immunoassay uses a double antibody format with colorimetric detection and is reactive with human samples. HSP60 is a mitochondrial chaperonin involved in cellular stress response, and quantitative measurement of this analyte is used in research into conditions including cancer, autoimmune disorders, and neurodegenerative disease.

The kit reports a sensitivity of 0.938 ng/ml and a quantitative range of 1.563–100 ng/ml. Spike-and-recovery in serum ranged from 86–104% (average 94%), in EDTA plasma from 88–105% (average 95%), and in UFH plasma from 88–104% (average 94%). Dilutional linearity for serum, EDTA plasma and UFH plasma across 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 dilutions fell within 80–103%. Intra-assay precision is reported as CV <8% and inter-assay precision as CV <10%. Kits should be stored at 4°C for 6 months and are for research use only.

Supplied components include a dismountable 8×12 strip ELISA microplate, lyophilized standard, sample/standard dilution buffer, biotin-labeled antibody, antibody dilution buffer, HRP-streptavidin conjugate (SABC) with corresponding dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution, 25X wash buffer, and plate sealer. HSP60 corresponds to UniProt entry P10809 and is encoded by the HSPD1 gene.
