Histidine-Rich Calcium-Binding Protein (HRC) is a sarcoplasmic reticulum protein predominantly expressed in cardiac and skeletal muscle, where it regulates calcium uptake and release during excitation-contraction coupling. The Human HRC ELISA Kit from Assay Genie enables quantitative measurement of this calcium-handling protein in human research samples using a microplate-based protocol. Altered HRC expression has been reported in studies of dilated cardiomyopathy and certain inherited arrhythmia syndromes, making quantitative HRC profiling relevant for cardiovascular research programs investigating sarcoplasmic reticulum function, calcium dysregulation, or familial cardiomyopathy biomarkers.

Each kit contains 96 Assays in a breakable strip-well format, providing flexibility for partial use without wasting remaining wells. Reagents ship in individual vials, and reconstituted components should be aliquoted and stored at freezer temperatures to limit freeze-thaw cycles. The assay is for in vitro research use only and produces an absorbance-based readout compatible with standard plate readers. Sample requirements are minimal, accommodating studies with limited material.
