Human HPSE2 ELISA Kit (HUFI03899)

The HPSE2 protein, also called Heparanase 2 or HPA2, is a heparan sulfate-binding endoglycosidase homolog that counter-regulates HPSE1-mediated extracellular matrix remodeling. Loss-of-function mutations in the HPSE2 gene are the established genetic cause of urofacial syndrome, a rare autosomal recessive disorder characterized by dysfunctional urinary voiding and facial weakness. Researchers apply this quantitative immunoassay to measure circulating HPSE2 in human blood-derived specimens for studies of tumor biology, renal physiology, and rare-disease biomarker discovery. The capture antibody is specific to human HPSE2 and shows no significant cross-reactivity with the paralogous HPSE1 endoglycosidase. Each kit includes a pre-coated microplate, lyophilized standards, biotinylated detection antibody, streptavidin-HRP conjugate, and substrate solution supplied in individual vials. Reconstituted components remain stable for short-term use when refrigerated; unopened kits ship with cold packs and should be kept at 4°C until first use. For extended storage, freeze the standards at -20°C and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles. The kit is configured for research use only and is not validated for clinical diagnostic procedures.
