The Human HPRG (Histidine-Rich Glycoprotein) PharmaGenie ELISA Kit from Assay Genie enables quantitative measurement of HPRG, a 67 kDa plasma glycoprotein synthesized by hepatocytes that circulates at roughly 100-150 µg/mL under baseline physiological conditions. Its distinctive histidine-rich repeats coordinate binding to heparin, fibrinogen, plasminogen, and divalent cations, placing HPRG at the crossroads of coagulation, fibrinolysis, and innate immune regulation. The assay is calibrated against purified human HPRG and shows no significant cross-reactivity with mouse or rat HRG homologs.

Researchers apply this immunoassay to investigate shifts in circulating HPRG across pathologies including sepsis-associated coagulopathy, venous thromboembolism, angiogenesis, and complications of pregnancy, relying on a sandwich-format protocol with a working standard curve spanning 0.78–50 ng/mL and a detection sensitivity near 0.25 ng/mL. Compatible matrices span conditioned cell culture media, citrated plasma, and serum samples, with a recommended 100 µL sample volume per well. Reconstituted standards and working conjugate should be stored frozen to preserve activity, while unopened kit components remain stable when refrigerated. Each microplate-based kit ships with pre-coated wells, detection antibody, and calibrated standard for building a quantitative curve, supporting research-use-only workflows in vascular biology and acute-phase response studies.
