The Assay Genie Human HORMAD1 ELISA Kit is intended for research use only and is built on a quantitative immunoassay architecture that measures HORMA domain-containing protein 1 in human serum or plasma. HORMAD1 is a cancer-testis antigen implicated in homologous recombination and meiotic recombination, with aberrant expression reported in triple-negative breast cancer, ovarian carcinoma, and lung adenocarcinoma, making it relevant to tumor immunology and biomarker discovery studies.

Each kit contains a pre-coated microplate, biotinylated capture and detection antibodies, streptavidin-HRP conjugate, calibrated standards, and assay diluent sufficient for 96 Assays. Standard curve fitting against serial dilutions of the supplied recombinant HORMAD1 reference enables interpolation of unknown concentrations. Recommended sample volume is 100 µL per well, with serum or plasma prepared by standard collection procedures and clarified aliquots loaded directly into the microwells.

After incubation and washing steps, TMB substrate is added and the enzymatic reaction is quenched with stop solution; absorbance is then read on a standard microplate reader. Researchers investigating DNA damage response, germ cell biology, or oncology biomarker validation can use this kit alongside matched isotype controls and recombinant reference material. Store unopened kit components at refrigerated temperatures, protect the streptavidin-HRP conjugate and TMB from light, and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles of reconstituted standards to preserve immunoreactivity across the full assay run.
