Human Homeobox protein OTX2 (OTX2) ELISA Kit

Manufactured by Assay Genie, this colourimetric Sandwich ELISA Kit is designed for the precise measurement of human Homeobox protein OTX2 (Orthodenticle Homeobox 2) levels in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernatants, and other biological fluids. The assay offers a detection range of 0.78-50ng/mL with a sensitivity of 0.28ng/mL, and shows intra-assay CV of 5.4% and inter-assay CV of 9.7%.

Recovery in serum averaged 103% (range 97-109%) and in plasma averaged 105% (range 99-111%). Linearity for serum (N=5) was 109-119% at 1:2, 109-118% at 1:4, 110-120% at 1:8 and 110-120% at 1:16; for EDTA plasma (N=5) 100-111%, 97-109%, 101-111% and 106-116% across the same dilutions; and for heparin plasma (N=5) 101-111%, 109-119%, 104-115% and 92-104%.

The kit is specific for natural and recombinant human Homeobox protein OTX2 and is intended for research use only in developmental biology studies. OTX2 is a homeobox transcription factor implicated in brain, craniofacial and sensory organ development, and its dysregulation has been linked to ocular diseases, brain tumours and developmental abnormalities.
