Human HO-1/HMOX1/HSP32 ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this sandwich ELISA uses a double-antibody format with colorimetric detection for the in vitro quantitative determination of human HO-1 (HMOX1 / HSP32) in serum, plasma, and other biological fluids. Heme oxygenase-1 is a key enzyme in heme degradation and cellular antioxidant defence, and its dysregulation has been linked to cancer, cardiovascular disorders, and inflammatory conditions.

Performance specifications include a sensitivity of 0.188 ng/ml and an assay range of 0.313–20 ng/ml. Spike-and-recovery testing gave average recoveries of 94% in serum (range 86–105%), 95% in EDTA plasma (range 88–105%), and 95% in UFH plasma (range 87–102%). Reported precision is intra-assay CV <8% and inter-assay CV <10%. The kit is supplied for research use only and stored at 4°C for 6 months.

Assay components include a dismountable ELISA microplate, lyophilized standard, biotin-labelled antibody, HRP-streptavidin conjugate, TMB substrate, stop solution, wash buffer, plate sealer, and dilution buffers. The assay targets the HMOX1 protein (UniProt P09601), which cleaves the heme ring at the alpha methene bridge to form biliverdin.
