Human HNF1B ELISA Kit (HUFI07804)

Hepatocyte nuclear factor 1-beta (HNF1B) is a POU-homeodomain transcription factor essential for renal, pancreatic, and hepatic organogenesis, and is the target antigen quantified by this ELISA Kit from Assay Genie. Heterozygous loss-of-function mutations in the HNF1B gene cause maturity-onset diabetes of the young type 5 (MODY5), renal cysts and diabetes syndrome (RCAD), and a spectrum of congenital genitourinary anomalies, making the protein a focal point in metabolic and developmental research.

Overexpression of HNF1B also serves as a biomarker in oncology, particularly for ovarian clear cell carcinoma, endometrial carcinoma, and chromophobe renal cell carcinoma, where it helps distinguish histologic subtypes. The 96 Assays microplate format supports medium-throughput quantification of HNF1B in human-derived specimens for in vitro research.
