Human HMGB1 ELISA Kit

A sandwich double-antibody ELISA kit from Assay Genie for the quantitative measurement of human HMGB1 in serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. The assay uses a pre-coated microplate and produces a colorimetric signal read at 450 nm using a standard microplate reader, with absorbance values directly proportional to HMGB1 concentration as determined against a standard curve.

The kit offers a sensitivity of 18.75 pg/mL and an assay range of 31.25–2000 pg/mL. Reagents are shipped on ice packs and stored at 2–8°C; selected components may be stored at -20°C for longer-term use. The kit also includes validated Bradford Reagent to enable total protein quantification for accurate normalization of cell and tissue lysate samples. The product is intended for research use only.

Performance is supported by linearity and recovery data across serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma samples. Sample preparation guidance covers blood-derived samples, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernatants and cell lysates, with a recommendation to avoid buffers containing NP-40, Triton X-100 or DTT when preparing tissues. The published protocol uses a biotinylated detection antibody followed by HRP-Streptavidin conjugate, TMB substrate development and an acidic stop solution.
