Human HLA class I histocompatibility antigen, B-27 alpha chain (HLA-B27) ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA Kit is designed for the quantitative measurement of human HLA class I histocompatibility antigen, B-27 alpha chain (HLA-B27), a major histocompatibility complex (MHC) protein involved in the presentation of foreign antigens to the immune system. The assay uses a colorimetric detection method and is reactive with human samples, including serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids.

The kit detects natural and recombinant human HLA-B27 with a detection range of 0.312-20ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.1ng/mL. HLA-B27 (UniProt P03989) is a heterodimer of an alpha chain and beta-2-microglobulin, localised as a single-pass type I membrane protein with a molecular weight of 40,428 Da. Abnormalities in HLA-B27 expression are associated with autoimmune conditions such as ankylosing spondylitis and reactive arthritis, making accurate detection valuable for research into disease pathogenesis and the development of targeted therapies.
