Human HLA-C/Major Histocompatibility Complex Class I C ELISA Kit

Assay Genie supplies a Sandwich ELISA kit in a Double Antibody format for the quantitative measurement of Human HLA-C (Major Histocompatibility Complex Class I-C) in human samples. The kit is designed for use with serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid sample types, with colorimetric detection. HLA-C is described as a component of the immune system involved in antigen presentation to T cells and in regulating immune responses, with reported associations to autoimmune disease, infectious disease, and transplantation outcomes. Reported linearity (n=5) at 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 dilutions is 85-100%, 82-99% and 81-97% for serum; 99-104%, 82-93% and 82-93% for EDTA plasma; and 93-102%, 85-100% and 81-100% for Heparin plasma. Spike-and-recovery (n=5) is 87-104% (average 92%) in serum, 89-101% (average 95%) in EDTA plasma, and 86-100% (average 93%) in Heparin plasma.

The assay is run as a six-step protocol: reagent and plate preparation, primary incubation at 37°C for 90 minutes, biotinylated detection antibody binding at 37°C for 60 minutes, HRP-Streptavidin (SABC) binding at 37°C for 30 minutes, TMB substrate colour development in the dark for 10-20 minutes, and stop reaction with absorbance read at 450 nm.
