Human HK1 (Hexokinase-1) ELISA Kit

A colorimetric Sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie designed for the quantitative measurement of human Hexokinase-1 (HK1). The assay targets hexokinase 1, a key enzyme that catalyses the first step of glycolysis and is implicated in glucose metabolism, metabolic disorders, cancer, and related research areas.

The kit is reactive with human samples and is validated for use with serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. It has a stated sensitivity of 46.875 pg/mL and a working range of 78.125-5000 pg/mL. Detection is by double-antibody sandwich ELISA read at 450 nm. Storage is 2-8°C for 12 months.

Reported performance from the manufacturer includes linearity in serum of 89-102% (1:2), 85-94% (1:4) and 91-99% (1:8), with EDTA plasma at 89-95%, 85-99% and 91-100% and heparin plasma at 91-105%, 85-98% and 91-97%. Spike-and-recovery averages are 94% for serum, 96% for EDTA plasma and 93% for heparin plasma. The procedure uses a primary incubation at 37°C, followed by biotin-labelled detection antibody, HRP-Streptavidin binding, TMB development and a stop reaction read at 450 nm.
