Human HIV (1+2 antibodies plus p24 antigen (4th GeneRation) ELISA Kit (HUFI08035)

This 4th Generation immunoassay from Assay Genie simultaneously detects antibodies directed against HIV-1 envelope glycoproteins (gp120 and gp41) and HIV-2 envelope glycoprotein (gp36), together with the HIV-1 p24 capsid antigen, in a single microplate run. By combining antibody and antigen detection on one well plate, the assay shortens the serological window period to roughly 15 days after infection, supporting earlier laboratory diagnosis of acute HIV infection compared with 3rd Generation antibody-only tests.

The kit requires a 50 µL sample of serum or plasma and produces a qualitative result interpreted against cut-off controls. A positive control, negative control, and reference calibrator are supplied for run validation. All reagents are provided ready-to-use in pre-coated wells; the protocol calls for incubation, washing, and chromogenic readout, with results calculated from optical density values. Standard laboratory biosafety practices are recommended when handling specimens potentially containing infectious agents.
