Human Histone H3.3C (H3F3C) ELISA Kit

Assay Genie's Human Histone H3.3C (H3F3C) ELISA Kit is a sandwich-format immunoassay designed for the quantitative detection of human Histone H3.3C in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids, with reactivity confirmed for human samples and specificity for natural and recombinant human Histone H3.3.

Reported performance characteristics include a detection range of 0.312–20 ng/mL, a sensitivity of 0.181 ng/mL, an intra-assay CV of 4.0% and an inter-assay CV of 6.9%. Linearity has been validated in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma at dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 (N=5), and recovery testing returned average values of 93% (range 87–99%) in serum and 95% (range 89–101%) in plasma.

Histone H3.3C is a replication-independent variant of histone H3 that replaces conventional H3 in nucleosomes of active genes and is incorporated into chromatin independently of DNA synthesis, acting as an epigenetic imprint of transcriptionally active chromatin. It is also known by the synonyms PP781, H3.3A and H3F3, and the protein (UniProt P84243) localises to the nucleus and chromosomes. Aberrant levels of the variant have been implicated in cancer and neurological disorders, making it a useful biomarker for epigenetics and chromatin-biology research. For research use only.
