Human HIP1 (Huntingtin-interacting protein 1) ELISA Kit (HUFI03950)

For laboratories investigating Huntington's disease biology and oncogenic signaling, this Assay Genie ELISA kit enables quantitative measurement of Huntingtin-Interacting Protein 1 (HIP1) in human specimens. HIP1 is a clathrin-mediated endocytosis adaptor of approximately 116 kDa that was originally identified through its interaction with huntingtin, the protein encoded by the HD gene. Subsequent research has linked altered HIP1 expression to neurodegenerative processes and to malignancies of the prostate, breast, and colon, as well as to certain leukemias involving HIP1 chromosomal translocations, making accurate protein quantification valuable for translational and basic science studies.

The kit is configured as a 96-assay microplate ELISA with anti-HIP1 antibody pre-coated onto the plate. Paired capture and detection reagents are combined with supplied calibrators to build a standard curve for interpolating HIP1 concentrations across patient samples, cultured cell lysates, and tissue homogenates.
