Human High mobility group protein B2 (HMGB2) ELISA Kit

This Sandwich ELISA Kit from Assay Genie is designed for the quantitative measurement of Human High mobility group protein B2 (HMGB2), also referred to as HMG-2, HMG2 or High mobility group protein 2. The assay is reactive with human samples and has been validated for use with serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids, with specificity for natural and recombinant human HMGB2.

Reported performance characteristics include a detection range of 0.312–20 ng/mL, a sensitivity of 0.156 ng/mL, an intra-assay CV of 4.6% and an inter-assay CV of 7.1%. Linearity was evaluated in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma across dilutions from 1:2 to 1:16. Mean recovery was 93% (range 87–99%) for serum and 95% (range 89–101%) for plasma.

HMGB2 is a multifunctional, chromatin-associated non-histone protein with roles in transcription, chromatin remodeling, V(D)J recombination and DNA repair, and dysregulation of HMGB2 has been associated with cancer, inflammatory conditions and autoimmune disorders. By subcellular location it is found in the nucleus, on chromosomes, in the cytoplasm and in the secreted compartment, being predominantly nuclear in the basal state.
