Description
A colorimetric, double-antibody sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie for the quantitative measurement of HIF-1α (Hypoxia-Inducible Factor 1 Alpha) Inhibitor in human biological samples. The assay is intended for serum and plasma, and is also compatible with cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples, supporting research into cellular response to hypoxia, angiogenesis, metabolism, and inflammation, as well as conditions such as cancer, cardiovascular disorders, and ischemic injuries where HIF-1α dysregulation is implicated.
Reported performance includes a sensitivity of 0.188 ng/mL and a working range of 0.313–20 ng/mL. Spike-and-recovery across serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma (n=5) was 96–105% (mean 99%), 87–101% (mean 93%), and 86–100% (mean 94%) respectively, while dilution linearity at 1:2, 1:4, and 1:8 spanned 82% to 101% across the same matrices. Reagents are stored at 2–8°C for 12 months, with the protocol following a 90-minute primary incubation at 37°C, biotinylated detection antibody binding, HRP-streptavidin (SABC) incubation, TMB color development, and absorbance read at 450 nm.
The kit is associated with the Epigenetics and Nuclear Signaling research area and is referenced under UniProt Q9NWT6, with listed synonyms including HIF1AN, FIH-1, Factor inhibiting HIF-1, FIH1, Peptide-aspartate beta-dioxygenase, and Hypoxia-inducible factor asparagine hydroxylase.
