Human HHIP ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie, configured as a double-antibody assay, is designed for the quantitative measurement of Hedgehog-interacting protein (HHIP) in human samples. The kit detects HHIP in serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples, with a reported sensitivity of 9.375 pg/mL and a working range of 15.625-1000 pg/mL. The procedure uses a biotin-labeled detection antibody with HRP-streptavidin and TMB substrate, with absorbance read at 450 nm, and components are stored at 2-8°C for up to 12 months.

HHIP is described as a key modulator of the Hedgehog signaling pathway, and its dysregulation has been implicated in cancer, pulmonary diseases and osteoarthritis, making it a useful biomarker for research into these conditions. Reported validation data show average recoveries of 94% for serum, 93% for EDTA plasma and 91% for heparin plasma, with linearity ranging from 88% to 104% across the tested dilutions of 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma matrices.
