Human HGF (Hepatocyte Growth Factor) ELISA Kit

This colorimetric Sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie is intended for the quantitative measurement of Human Hepatocyte Growth Factor (HGF) in human samples. It uses a double-antibody sandwich format with a sensitivity of 18.75 pg/mL and a working range of 31.2–2000 pg/mL (1 ng = 1500 mIU), and is validated for serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples.

The assay involves equilibrating reagents and TMB substrate to room temperature, a 90-minute primary incubation at 37 °C for antigen binding, a 60-minute biotinylated detection antibody step, a 30-minute HRP-Streptavidin (SABC) binding step, 10–20 minutes of TMB colour development in the dark, and absorbance reading at 450 nm after the stop solution is added. Reported recovery ranges are 86–103% for serum, 92–102% for EDTA plasma and 93–103% for heparin plasma, with linearity of 86–105% across 1:2 to 1:8 dilutions. Unopened kit components are stored at 2–8 °C for 12 months.

HGF is a key growth factor that regulates cell growth, migration and morphogenesis, and plays a critical role in tissue regeneration and repair. Abnormal HGF levels have been associated with cancer, liver diseases and fibrotic disorders, supporting the kit's use as a biomarker tool for disease research and therapeutic development.
