Human Hexosaminidase B/HEXB ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this sandwich-format, double-antibody ELISA kit is intended for the quantitative measurement of human Hexosaminidase B (HEXB) in serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. HEXB is a lysosomal enzyme that contributes to the breakdown of glycolipids and glycoproteins; mutations in the HEXB gene have been linked to Tay-Sachs disease, supporting research into lysosomal storage disorders and related conditions.

The assay uses a colorimetric, TMB-based read-out with absorbance measured at 450 nm. Reported sensitivity is 0.938 IU/mL and the working range is 1.563-100 IU/mL. Linearity (n=5) at 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 dilutions was 89-99%, 86-97% and 86-105% in serum; 85-101%, 88-105% and 82-99% in EDTA plasma; and 84-101%, 88-100% and 86-98% in heparin plasma. Spike-and-recovery averaged 97% for serum, 96% for EDTA plasma and 94% for heparin plasma. Unopened components are stored at 2-8°C for 12 months.
