Human HEXA PharmaGenie ELISA Kit (SBRS0668)

An immunoassay from Assay Genie enables quantitative measurement of the human HEXA protein, the catalytic alpha subunit of lysosomal hexosaminidase A whose deficiency causes Tay-Sachs disease (GM2 gangliosidosis, variant B). The kit is configured as a 96-assay ELISA format with all reagents needed to process a full microplate.

Useful in research on lysosomal storage disorders and neurogenetic disease, the assay measures HEXA levels in human cell culture supernatant, plasma, and serum specimens. Applications include studies of enzyme replacement therapy efficacy, carrier screening research, and characterization of HEXA mutations associated with infantile and late-onset forms of the disease.
