Human Hepcidin prohormone (ProHAMP) ELISA Kit

Designed for research use, this colorimetric Sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie enables quantification of hepcidin prohormone in human samples. The kit is validated for serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernatants, and other biological fluids, and shows specificity for natural and recombinant human Hepcidin prohormone.

Performance characteristics include a detection range of 0.312–20 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.078 ng/mL. Reported precision values are 4.7% (intra-assay CV) and 7.3% (inter-assay CV). Linearity was demonstrated at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8, and 1:16 dilutions across serum (82–120%), EDTA plasma (96–120%), and heparin plasma (95–118%). Spike-and-recovery testing returned averages of 88% for serum (range 82–94%) and 90% for plasma (range 84–96%).

Hepcidin prohormone is a key regulator of iron metabolism, and dysregulation of hepcidin levels has been linked to iron overload disorders, anemia, and chronic inflammatory diseases. The kit supports research into prohepcidin biology and its role in health and disease.
