Human Hepatitis A virus cellular receptor 1 (HAVCR1) ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA Kit is designed for the quantitative detection of Human Hepatitis A virus cellular receptor 1 (HAVCR1), also known as TIM-1 or KIM-1, in human samples. The colourimetric assay is intended for use with serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids, and shows specificity for natural and recombinant human HAVCR1.

Performance characteristics include a detection range of 0.156–10 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.072 ng/mL. Precision is reported as an intra-assay CV of 4.2% and an inter-assay CV of 6.8%. Dilutional linearity in serum (N=5) spans 89–98% at 1:2 to 96–105% at 1:16; EDTA plasma spans 110–120% at 1:2 to 92–101% at 1:16; heparin plasma spans 113–123% at 1:2 to 103–112% at 1:16. Recovery averages 90% (range 84–96%) for serum and 92% (range 86–98%) for plasma.

HAVCR1/TIM-1 is a single-pass type I membrane protein (UniProt Q96D42; chromosomal locus 5q33.2) that serves as a cell-surface receptor facilitating hepatitis A virus entry, and is also reported to act as a receptor for Dengue virus via binding of exposed phosphatidylserine on the virion membrane.
