Human Heparin-binding growth factor 2 (FGF2) ELISA Kit

Assay Genie offers a sandwich ELISA kit for the quantitative detection of human Heparin-binding growth factor 2 (FGF2), also known as basic fibroblast growth factor (bFGF) and listed under the synonyms FGF-2, HBGF-2 and FGFB. The kit is reactive with human samples and is validated for use with serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. FGF2, a heparin-binding growth factor, plays an important role in cell survival, cell division, angiogenesis, cell differentiation and cell migration, and functions as a potent mitogen in vitro. It is implicated in cancer, cardiovascular disease, wound healing and other conditions, and is listed under the Neurosciences research area.

The assay has a reported detection range of 1.56-100pg/mL and a sensitivity of 0.57pg/mL. Precision is reported as an intra-assay CV of 5.5% and an inter-assay CV of 8.1%. Linearity has been validated across dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 in serum (80-90%, 101-113%, 82-92%, 93-103%), EDTA plasma (82-92%, 109-119%, 102-112%, 110-120%) and heparin plasma (94-107%, 102-112%, 89-98%, 113-123%). Average recovery is 89% (range 83-95%) in serum and 91% (range 85-97%) in plasma.
